Not much going ontoday as we are still trying to get the body clock to realise it is in a different time zone. Spent most of the day doing little tasks and trying not to sleep.
11 April 07 - Calgary and surrounds
After more fitful sleep we decided to go exploring today, so with great confidence, we took Murray's 4 x 4 for a spin to the shops and then out to see the Rockies. Driving was no problem and the traffic was pretty good. We found ourselves out near the hydro electric plant at Ghost, where the huge lake that feeds the plant is frozen over, houseboats stuck solid in the ice and going nowhere fast. The backdrop however was simply stunning and it was hard to keep an eye on the road. Here is a sample of the vista that mezmorized us (yes I did take it).
And so with barely time to recognise where we were in the world, we boarded a flight to Costa Rica for a little pre-trip holiday.
